Data handling
What AppThentic reads, what it stores, and how you correct or remove it.
What AppThentic reads
Only the sources you connect: repositories, tickets, docs and threads. Reading is read-only. See Reading your systems.
What AppThentic stores
| Stored | Where |
|---|---|
| Business rules and their locations | Evidence store, in your infrastructure |
| Links to supporting evidence | Evidence store |
| Questions, answers and approvals | Evidence store |
| History of every change | Evidence store |
AppThentic stores links to source material and the parts it needs as evidence. Your systems remain the source of record.
Correcting and deleting
- An owner can correct an answer at any time. The correction is recorded with the date.
- A single fact can be deleted from the evidence store without affecting any other fact or retraining anything.
- Disconnecting a source stops AppThentic reading it.
Personal data
Answers are attributed to the people who gave them, because attribution is what makes them trustworthy. People can see what they have been asked and what they answered.
